Fun at Lake Elizabeth

The whole family took a walk around Lake Elizabeth since the weather is finally getting nice again. We took Darren to the playground for the first time too. He didn't really have an opinion on the slide, but he really seemed to enjoy the swings. I have a feeling we are going to be here quite a bit this summer!

Carly and Ava

My good friend Carly and her beautiful daughter Ava came to visit yesterday. Ava and Darren are about 7 months apart and really little the last time they saw each other, so we were really excited to see them play together. Unfortunately Ava slept all but about the last five minutes of their visit. Dare just kept pointing to her and eventually woke her up because he kept talking to her and poking her (he really likes playing with other babies).
We still had a really good visit and always have a good time when we're together. Congratulations to Carly and Jon Paul who are expecting a little boy this May!!!

While I was on my bonding time, Tim would come home and visit us everyday on his lunch break. A couple minutes before I knew he was coming I would open the door and the boys would sit and wait for him. So cute.

Late Birthday Post

I was having a lot of problems with my computer and downloading pictures so I never got to post the pictures from Darren's actual birthday February 8th. We started out the morning with one shaped pancakes and he loved them (way more than his plain oatmeal!). We went on a nice walk to the park in the afternoon and then just quality time with Mommy and Daddy the rest of the day.
Everyone told us that his first year was going to fly by, but I never expected it to go as fast as it did. I have enjoyed every single minute of his first year and look forward to what his future has in store. Love you so much Dare!

Happy Birthday Grammy!

Yesterday we went out to dinner and had dessert with Grammy, Pops and Uncle Peter for Grammy's birthday. Happy Birthday Grammy we love you!

Saturday was Darren's first birthday party! My baby is one!!!!
He was such a good boy at the party, he didn't get fussy and did great being surrounded by so many people. Thank you to everyone who helped the day run smoothly. Thanks to Tabby for making the awesome Mickey cake and cupcakes and thanks to Auntie Kim for taking all the pictures.
Darren was spoiled by everyone and is having a ball with all his new toys. Thank you everyone for your love and support of our son!
