Get well soon great grandma

Darren's great grandma (my grandma) from Fort Bragg has recently became pretty sick and needed emergency surgery. We have been thinking about her everyday and looking forward to going to see her on Thursday. My sister and mom are going to visit her tomorrow so Darren decided to make her a finger painting to brighten up her hospital room. Here is Dare enjoying getting messy making her gift.

While playing in his room today, Darren emptied out all of the jammies in his drawer, replaced them with toys and then decided to sit in it. Me and Tim were cracking up cause he just wanted to sit there, not get out, not play....just sit.

Our first trip to the ER

Last night our little Darren slipped on his books and busted open his lip on the bookcase shelf. We went straight to the emergency room where they put four stitches in his bottom lip. It was the saddest thing to watch as a parent, he was papoosed down crying so hard he could barely catch his breath, mommy didn't take it well either.
This morning he was all smiles and even went straight to the bookcase to play, looking forward to having two boys!

Yesterday while i was picking up Darren from my moms house he was playing with her iphone. So I was watching him and he selected an app (it happened to be the ifart app) and once it was open he started shaking her phone upside down to make it fart (thats how it works)! I was stunned that he remembered seeing either my mom or brother do it and remembered how to do it himself....crazy, before I know it he'll be teaching me stuff!

Busy weekend

We were very busy this weekend, on Saturday we had my department picnic at Lake Elizabeth and on Sunday Tim had a bunch of his co-workers and friends over to see the house. The weather was great for both and Dare had a great time meeting new friends and getting tons of attention! These pics are from my picnic and I'll post the others soon =)

On Saturday we went to my friend Rosie's nieces 2nd birthday. We went to her first birthday last year when Dare was only three months old, but a way different experience this year. He played in the park and wanted to walk everywhere! He just kept eyeing her Mickey Mouse balloons too! When I finally picked him up to see the balloons, he gave Mickey a big kiss!
