Oakland Zoo...kinda

Yesterday, I was able to leave work early and since Tim was home with the boys we decided to head out to the zoo. The weather has been so bad here we jumped on the opportunity to get out into the nice 80 degree weather. Since we were so excited to go I forgot to check to see if my camera was charged...it was not so I only got two pictures before it died =( Darren looking at the bunnies and Dare looking at monkeys. It was so cute, Dare would say bye to each animal as we left their exhibit. The rest are just pics from the week that I liked.

movin on up

Braden has expanded his horizons beyond oatmeal and added applesauce to the menu! At first he ate it just fine without making any faces, but a couple bites in that all changed, he still ate most of it and big brother Darren was quick to jump in and finish it for him.

guests in the house

Tim has been looking for army men for Darren (because they are in Toy Story) little did I know they were really for him. Me and the boys were out of the house for a few hours on Saturday and when I came home slowly noticed there were army men everywhere! Darren has been finding them too and then takes them down with a big smile, to Tim's credit he did clean the entire house while we were gone too.

craft time

Michael's has all their spring and Easter crafts fifty percent off right now so I thought I'd get some stuff for Darren to do this weekend since we have a major storm coming through. The kit came with all the eggs and decorations for two wreaths so we have one to do for next year too! Love the way it came out, Dare really liked making it too. It took us over an hour to put all the stickers on, the only part he didn't like was when I hung it up on the door, he wanted to rip all the eggs of and do the whole thing over but I thought it was too pretty to mess up, we can always do that second one just for fun.

Happy St. Patricks Day

Happy St. Patricks day, we had a pretty quite one, the boys were home with dad all day (of course all in green) and we stayed home and watched movies all night.

Fort Bragg

We took the boys to Fort Bragg this weekend to visit with my grandparents and to meet Braden for the first time. We had so much fun visiting and getting to show off the boys. Darren was a little shy but loved playing in Grandpa's garden and on the property. Me and Kim always loved to explore the in the woods and search for salamanders and eat berries and whatever else we could find in the garden so I am so happy that my boys are getting to do the same. We didn't take them to the ocean this time around because of the rain, but definitely something to look forward to.

5 months old

Braden is five months old today! He is amazing, getting bigger and stronger everyday. He really focuses on things intently now and loves the itsy bitsy spider. Big brother Darren is also starting to notice him a little more now. There has never been any animosity or jealously and Darren has always acknowledged him with kisses and concerns when crying, but just now I think Darren is starting to realize maybe he will have someone to play with soon (and share toys with soon...). They will always love each other I just hope they like each other along the way.
