pictures of the week

Darren is so close walking! He has been pulling himself to a standing position now for almost three weeks. You can tell he is getting more and more confident. He walks really well with one of his push toys and has the biggest smiles every time he stands up, he is so proud of himself.

We just bought a new vacuum ( a Dyson and we LOVE it, I highly suggest to anyone who needs a good vacuum, this one is for pets and it is amazing!) anyways both boys would not stop playing with the box, they would take turns walking or crawling across it. Who needs Christmas presents when we have boxes!

Darren got a pony from Uncle Mike and Aunt Carole for Christmas. The first time we put him on it he was very unsure, and slowly but surely he is enjoying it more. Today he even bounced up and down on it like he knows he is supposed to ride it!

even more christmas pics

opening even more gifts!

For a few brief minutes, Darren was a little over whelmed by all of the people and hid in a corner. The curious little boy that he is, he would peek out at everybody coming in the room. This lasted about five minutes and then he was his happy little friendly self.

Darren's first Christmas

Darren's first Christmas!
He was spoiled rotten by everyone. There are too many gifts and too many thank yous to blog about them all so thank you so much everyone for making this Christmas the best. The day was spent with both families and plenty of Darren to go around.
He was not too into opening his gifts, he was more entertained by all the chaos around us.
This is by far my favorite Christmas to date and one I'll remember for the rest of my life.

The whole family!

My mom made the Mickey blanket in the picture for Darren, isn't it awesome!

Getting ready for bed Christmas Eve

All smiles before bedtime on Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is one of our busiest days of the year and always goes by way too fast. We started out our afternoon at Christmas mass with Tim's family. Darren did very well in mass and even tried singing along with the choir! After mass we headed back to Tim's parents house to place our fast food orders......When Tim was little fast food was a rare treat in their household. So a tradition started that after mass they could get any fast food they wanted, if you wanted a burger from McDonalds and fries from Burger King and two tacos from Jack in the Box that's what you get! The tradition has escalated into somewhat of a contest since Ron joined the family!
After eating until we feel sick, we were off to Pleasanton to Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Mike's house. Once there we ate again ( just desserts though)! After a round of White Elephant gift card and a game of regular White Elephant we played an awesome game of Left Right Center. We played three games and me, my sister and my brother were the three big winners!
Unfortunately my camera battery died before I could get a group picture at Aunt Cheryl's house, but we were in good company with Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Mike, Nanny, Papa, Grandma, Pappy, Joey, Kim, Dan and cousins Lauren, Scott, Adam and Jessica.

Warriors game

On friday we enjoyed a date night to the Warriors game. My sister and brother in law were given tickets by one of the players because my brother in law worked on his car ( Dan has a shop in Walnut Creek called Walnut Creek Customs were he does really cool stuff to people's cars, he gets to meet tons of awesome people too)
The game was really fun despite the loss, thanks for the invite guys!

A visit with Santa

Darren and Baron met with Santa yesterday. Newpark Mall lets you bring in pets on Mondays after 6 pm. Darren did surprisingly well, all the babies in front of cried as soon as they were put on Santa's lap, but not our Dare! He just stared at Santa and even cracked a few smiles for him. Baron did equally as well, none of the other dogs seemed to phase him, I think he was excited to be in a mall surrounded by people (and of course I had my mom was there to help me control the boys!).

Christmas begins!

Since we have so much family and too many places to be at the same time on Christmas, we have started a tradition with my step mom, Janell, and Michael to meet them a couple weeks before Christmas for dinner. My sister Kim and Dan of course join in the fun. We always meet at the same restaurant and exchange gifts, it really kicks off the holiday season for us!

pictures of the week

Nothing too new this week. Darren is crawling very well these days, getting around the house faster than we can catch him. His two front teeth are pushing through so now were up to four and a half teeth!

Daddy tends to dress Darren in mis-matched clothes, I guess I complained about Dare's outfits not matching a little too much so he went a little overboard this time (on purpose)
