Easter at the park

After the egg hunt we headed to the ball park. Despite a Giants loss to the Braves, we had a blast! Both boys did so good. Braden was all smiles and was very content just watching all the people, he did get a little rattled when Buster Posey hit a two run homer to tie the game though. Darren played with a baseball batting helmet that was filled with popcorn and that kept him entertained for almost two whole innings =)
Tim was very happy because it was replica trophy give away day, he probably liked that more than the boys liked their Easter baskets!

Easter morning

Easter started bright and early for us. Easter Mass at 7:15, where the boys were pretty good then back to our house for an Easter egg hunt and small breakfast. We were joined by the Grandparents who spoiled the boys with Easter baskets too =)

Darren hunted for eggs and we all watched and took pictures, Braden will be right in there next year. After playing with all their Easter goodies we were off to the Giants game.....

coloring Easter eggs

Last night Darren and I waited until Braden booty went to sleep and then we colored eggs. He had a blast and still has the stained fingers to prove it! It is nice to spend time with just the two of us sometimes and I know he loved it too.

Daddy's hat...

Daddy's hat is a big deal around this house. Darren loves to put it on everyone, including Baron who is not too thrilled about it. Darren always says Dad's hat, Dad's hat every time he puts it on himself or you. Braden loves Daddy's hat too, it has stopped him from being fussy more than a hand full of times!

Braden's Baptism

Braden was baptized this past weekend at Our Lady of Guadalupe church here in Fremont. It was a beautiful ceremony.
Braden's godparents are my sister, Kimberly (also Darren's godmother) and Tim's Uncle Michael. Both are amazing people who will make perfect godparents, we love them and thank them for being godmother and godfather.
Braden did so good during the baptism and I think enjoyed the water because he just relaxed there and didn't fuss or cry at all, he is such a good baby! Braden also wore the baptism outfit that Darren and Tim both wore at there baptisms, he was a little older and I was worried it would not fit but luckily my mom added a little extension which made it fit perfect. As an added bonus, Braden's Grammy Munro did a reading at the baptism and she did great.
After the baptism we were joined with friends and family back at our house for a small reception. Thank you so much to everyone for coming to celebrate with our family.

My singing boys

Too cute not to post......Braden is such a cutie pie and "sings" himself to sleep every night (Maureen just told me that Tim used to do the same thing). I love it, it is so sweet so I thought I post a quick little video to share.

As I was lighting a candle tonight Darren came up to me and started singing Happy Birthday and blew it out! We've had quite a few birthdays the last month or two and he must have remembered all the singing. My boys are way too cute!

sitting up!

Braden has been trying to sit up for a long time now, but today he was able to master it for a whole three minutes (which is a really long time for new sitters). I'm pretty sure he loved this new found talent and the independence that comes with it. He was so proud of himself too, as soon as I realized he wasn't falling over immediately I grabbed my camera and he started flashing huge smiles for me!

Opening Day 2011

Today we went to the Giants home opener with the boys. It was Braden's first game and he did amazing. We walked around a lot which kept him very entertained and Darren slept almost the entire time we were there. All in all, a very easy, relaxing trip to the ballpark. We left before the game was over and the Giants went on to pull out the win in twelve innings off an Aaron Rowand RBI coincidentally the same thing happened last year, we left early, the game went to extra innings and Aaron Rowand hit the game winning RBI...maybe we should leave early every opening day!
