Thanksgiving pics continued

Darren's First Thanksgiving

Darren's first Thanksgiving was a busy one! We started out the morning having a huge breakfast with my parents and brother, they were having their dinner in Santa Cruz and we were unable to make it because we had other plans. From there we drove to my sister's house in Clayton for appetizers. She was making her first Thanksgiving dinner and having her in laws over. After socializing there for a couple hours and letting everyone get their Darren fix, we headed back to Fremont to have dinner with Tim's family.

Darren ate so much food that day! He had turkey, cranberry sauce, potatoes, bread, mandarin orange salad, pumpkin pie, sweet potatoes and bread! Pretty good when he gets mostly baby food still!

We left our house at ten that morning and got home around nine that night, all the while Darren did amazing. He slept during all the driving and was a smiley baby for everyone he saw.

Pictures of the week

He has mastered the art of self feeding and most days prefers it to being spoon fed.

I love this pic of my beautiful son!

Wow

Napa trip February

Napa trip November

day trip to Napa

Sunday we went to Napa to visit some of Tim's family. We had a really good visit and of course ate way too much... a Thanksgiving warm up! Some of Tim's family hadn't seen Dare since he was four weeks old, he is so so different now. As an added bonus Julie, Ron, Lily and Emma were in town and went to Napa with us. We had a blast spending time with them.

Lily tickling Darren

Tim's cousin, Anthony, who is amazing with babies!

Family pic minus Uncle Kurt and Anthony who left before we got a chance to take the group pic.

Thanks Joe

Uncle Joey let Darren play with his rocking teddy bear the other day. Papa Manny made it for Joey when he was a baby. Darren had a ball on it! Thanks Uncle Joey for letting us play with it.

Get well soon Nana Fay

Recently Nana Fay had surgery and has not yet fully recovered. My Mom took Darren to their house last week to cheer her up, I heard he was on his best behavior and even gave a few smiles, hopefully it did the job! Get well soon! Here are some pictures that Manny took during their visit.

our friend Justin

Here are the boys taking a break from playing to watch a little Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Justin is my co workers son who is two months older than Darren. We've been trying to get them together once a week for play dates. Right now, Justin is a little bigger and almost walking but we'll catch up soon! Justin's mommy just started a blog too, it's on our friends list under The Gardin family.

9 month portraits

9 months old!

Darren is 9 months old today! No smiles for our 9 month teddy bear pic, Darren has been fighting a bad cold now for about a week. He is doing much better now, just a lingering cough. He did have some smiles for our 9 month portraits taken this morning though, I'll post those in a couple days!

Darren is not quite crawling yet, he gets around plenty don't get me wrong. He pulls himself (like the army crawl) and rolls anywhere he needs to go. He has also mastered the art of feeding the dog and thinks its hilarious, I haven't been able to get a good picture of this but I will. He is amazing and we love him so much.

more Halloween

Our pumpkins this year. Mickey of course, for anyone who doesn't know, Darren LOVES Mickey Mouse!

Halloween night Tim and I went to a party where we dressed up as the Simpsons. A special thanks to my creative mom who made my Marge hair with about three hours notice before the party!

Darren's First Halloween

On Halloween night Darren didn't go Trick or Treating door to door but he did go where he is most loved in the whole world, both grandparents house! Both grandparents of course spoiled him with Halloween gifts instead of candy.

Overly excited to see a Mickey Mouse bag from Grandma and Pappy

I love this picture of Darren checking out his goods from Grammy and Pops

Playdates

Now that Darren is getting older and more mobile we have started making play dates. This is our friend Malia, she is the daughter of our good friends the Adams. Malia and Darren played very well together, she was really great about sharing all her toys with Dare too (preparing her to share with her little brother that is due next March!) They have also just started a blog, YAY!!!
