Gilroy Gardens

Yesterday Darren and a couple of his little friends went to Gilroy Gardens, despite the 100 degree weather he had a great time. My work gives really good discounts to the park so a couple co workers and I decided to take our kids who are all around the same age.

Darren did better than I thought on the rides and started to whine when I walked away but was fine as soon as the ride started =) He adored the water park section (as you can see by the pictures). He even sat down on the ground waiting for the water to fall on him!

He was an exhausted baby by the end of the day though and even fell asleep on the train ride that goes all around the park, we went through a tunnel and I looked down at him when we came out and he was fast asleep!

Swim Lessons

Darren started swim lessons today! It took him a couple minutes to warm up to the idea, but he was soon loving it. He had never been in a pool before so I wasn't sure how he was going to react but after the teacher gave us a toy football to throw we were all good! There are about ten other babies in the class including our friend Justin who had a blast in the pool.
So glad Justin's mommy told us about this place, it is less than a mile from our house and very affordable. Darren is going to love going to the pool every week and becoming a little pro at swimming.

Julie, Ron, Lily and Emma came down for the weekend for a quick visit and the kids had a blast playing with each other.
Darren and Emma are only 10 months apart and are really starting to play well together. All three of them have so much fun together and I know I say it everytime I post about cousins, but I wish they lived closer =(

Congratulations Tabitha & Marlo

Congratulations to my good friend Tabitha who got married yesterday! The ceremony was beautiful actually everything about the wedding was beautiful.
I had the privilege of being one of her bridesmaids and sharing in this special time of her life. We had so much fun and couldn't be happier for Tabs and Mars, have fun in Hawaii guys!

The mean face

A few weeks ago Darren made this weird face to me and Tim and we called it the mean face, so now everytime you ask Deiter to do the mean face he does! It is so cute and whenever he does it he can't hold the mean face long before he starts smiling, he thinks it is so funny and I agree!
