the start of a long journey!

Today Darren went potty in his potty chair for the first time! He got to put the first sticker on his chart and I offered him a cookie too but he said no and wanted to watch Mickey Mouse instead (way better than a cookie at 9 am anyways). I know it's kinda gross to blog about but so so excited! We know it is going to be a long road ahead of us but I'm so proud of him!!!!!

RIP Buster and Posey

Our little fish Buster and Posey both passed this morning and luckily Darren hasn't noticed. RIP Buster and Posey, you were good fish =)

Family outing

The library just a couple blocks from our house has a really nice little path to walk where you can see ducks and turtles. The boys loved it not to mention playing at the little park there too. Every time we go out and do something fun I think" Is this the last family outing just the three of us?".....maybe.

Happy Birthday Julie

Today is my awesome sister in laws birthday. Sorry we missed the big surprise party Jul, hope it was great, happy birthday!

Buster and Posey

We went to a little fair today put on by the city of Newark and won two goldfish at one of the game booths, meet Buster and Posey. They will be a nice addition to our growing family. Hoping to introduce another member any day now!

Buster is the white and orange one, Posey is all orange.

Darren sees quite a few baseball games (duh) and lately has been pretending to swing with the batters and even was pitching along side Barry Zito the other night!

California Academy of Sciences

Today we went to the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park. They have a great promotion that all visitors are free every third Wednesday of the month, I highly recommend taking advantage of this! We had so much fun and there was a lot to see, Darren was entertained the whole time. At almost every exhibit he would say "whoa!! ooooo!" and point to whatever he was looking at, it was so adorable, I even took a little video of him doing it. We saw the aquarium, the natural history museum and the four story rainforest and tons of other exhibits. The only thing we didn't get to take advantage of was the planetarium because it is recommended for kids 5 and up, but something to look forward to in the future.
Today their famous albino alligator, Claude, turned 15 years old so they had a costume Claude walking around taking pictures to help celebrate.

Steven Ney

More sad news came from Tim's family last week, his cousin Steven passed away suddenly in his sleep. It has been a pretty rough week and Tim has always made mention to him feeling the closest to Steven of all his mom's family. Again I am posting a link to Julie's blog as she is an amazing writer and wrote a perfect blog about Steven. You will be very missed Steven, thank you for all the wonderful memories.

Papa Munro
