a couple random pics from the trip
Darren and Grandma
Darren loved watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in the car, he kept trying to touch the screen when Mickey was on.
A quick visit
Happy First Birthday Addison
This weekend we went to my cousin Amanda's daughter Addison's first birthday in Southern California. She is so cute! She got tons of presents and I think had a great time at her party. Darren slept through a couple hours of it, but when he was awake they played together really really well.
It was so nice to see my cousins and have all of our babies play together. I wish we lived closer, with everyones busy lives its hard to make time to see each other and I always miss them when we leave.

Congratulations Brianna and Jason
Today we went to the wedding reception of our friends Jason and Brianna. They are a great couple and we were so happy to be a part of their special day. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Adams!
Jason, Brianna, me, Tim and Chris
they have a beautiful daughter, Malia, who is almost a year to the day older than Darren.
The happy couple was married in Las Vegas in August so the cake and tables were decorated with a Vegas theme. Very cute!

Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival
Today we went to the 30th annual Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival. It was a great day despite the heavy traffic, it took us over an hour to go six miles! Luckily, Darren slept the entire way there, I can't imagine trying to entertain a bored baby just sitting in bumper to bumper traffic.
We saw the record breaking largest pumpkin which was 1600 pounds, and a lot of really cool sculpted pumpkins. There were tons of pumpkin foods too; pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin bread, pumpkin rolls, pumpkin beer and of course pumpkin pie. We got the last piece of pie sold at the fair today and even let Dare try it.....of course he loved it and even cried for more.

Gymboree
Darren went to his first Gymboree class today. I'm pretty sure he loved it, he smiled at all the other kids and tried to get closer to them. He didn't even fuss when a boy crawled over to him and took his ball. The class was great, we sang songs, played with bubbles, played with slides and foam mountains and even brought out the big parachute as the finale.
We had so much fun that were going back next week!

8 months old!
Darren is eight months old today! It took extra effort to get this picture today. Usually he just sits there and Mommy or Daddy can get him to smile...not today though, he wanted to explore everything and anything in his reach. He wanted to scoot off the couch, grab the phone off the coffee table, yell at Baron (very cute). I guess that's what comes along with him getting older though.

Halloween preview
I've been waiting to play dress up with the boys in their Halloween costumes, so when I saw that my fried De Anna posted pics of her girls in their costumes, i figured that was the green light for me!
We have a frog and a lily pad! My mom and i put together the lily pad costume and turned out pretty well, Baron doesn't even mind wearing it. Darren loves his costume too, we recently took him to get studio pictures in it and he kept the hood on the whole time (he hates hats and hoods usually).

Baron's blessing
Saint Francis of Assisi (Giovanni Francesco di Bernardone; 1181/1182 – October 3, 1226)[2] was a Catholic deacon and the founder of the Order of Friars Minor, more commonly known as the Franciscans.
He is known as the patron saint of animals, the environment and Italy, and it is customary for Catholic churches to hold ceremonies honoring animals around his feast day of 4 October.
Yesterday we took Baron to get blessed at our church. The church had a pretty good turn out: 8 dogs, one cat and one turtle. I really like that the church offers this and plan on getting Bare blessed every year from now on.
