chatting with daddy

4 months old

Our baby is four months old! He is cuter than ever these days, he has started to make laughing like sounds and squeals when he is really excited. He holds his head up really really well now and is even enjoying tummy time more. He still has not rolled over again since I posted the video, that's what I get for making him do it 30 times that day!
Sleeping seems to be getting better, I think we might actually be over the hard part, I don't want to elaborate too much because I don't want to jinx anything =)
We love him so much, he brings such joy to our lives.

bedtime stories

I've been reading a story to Darren every night as part of his bedtime routine since he was just a couple weeks old. Just recently he has been very attentive during the stories and looking at the pictures. Last night he started reaching for the book and playing with the pages and of course the pages went right for his mouth. After I took it out of his mouth he helped turned the pages and cried when the story was done, we wound up reading the story four times last night!

Congratulations Reena and Nico

Yesterday we went to San Luis Obispo for my friend Reena's wedding. They were married in the Old San Luis Obispo Mission which was gorgeous. We had so much fun and were very happy to be able to witness their special day.

Bubble gum alley

While in San Luis Obispo for a friend's wedding we visited bubble gum alley. I had seen this in the tv show The Girls Next Door, but was surprised when my friend Tabitha told me it was only about a mile from the church. It is a pretty gross alley way that is wall to wall gum that people have stuck up there and now is somewhat of a landmark. It was fun and gross at the same time.





Don't worry it's my gum and i was very careful not to touch anyone else's!!
( it still made me gag though, the things I'll do for a good picture!)

teething????

I'm not sure if it's too early for Darren to be teething or not but he sure is showing signs of it. This week everything has found its way into his mouth, if nothing is around then its his hands that he'll chew on! On top of that, all his outfits are starting to be covered in drool!

Giants vs. Braves

We went to the Giants Braves game yesterday with Grammy and Pops, it was their first trip out to the park this year. Despite being a little windy we had an awesome time watching Jonathan Sanchez get the win over the Braves 2 to 8.

I LOVE this outfit! I have been dying to put him in it, but with the recent heat waves I was afraid he would get too big for it by the time the weather was cooler. Lucky for me the Bay was a cool 60 degrees today and it's the first outfit I thought about when I saw the overcast morning. Gotta love the crazy Bay Area weather!
