Darren did so well on the flight! He slept the entire way there and most of the flight home.

DeAnna came down to Fremont yesterday to visit with Julie and the girls and was kind enough to take pictures of all the kids. They turned out amazing as usual. Thank you so much DeAnna!

Pictures of the week

This week Darren had his four month well baby check and weighed in at almost 15 pounds! While we were with the doctor Darren decided to show off and roll over. He did this 30 seconds after I told the doctor that he only rolled over for one day a couple weeks ago. Tim got to see Darren roll over for the first time today too, so I think this is finally going to be a habit. This week Darren has also found his loud voice. He has been squealing and almost yelling at us thinking the whole thing is hilarious, I'll try to post one of the videos soon, its really cute.

This time next week me and Darren will be in Arizona for my friend Carly's daughter's first Birthday. I'm a little nervous about traveling alone with him. Think good thoughts about our flying experience, I think he'll do well though since he loves to be held!

4 months old

Our baby is four months old! He is cuter than ever these days, he has started to make laughing like sounds and squeals when he is really excited. He holds his head up really really well now and is even enjoying tummy time more. He still has not rolled over again since I posted the video, that's what I get for making him do it 30 times that day!
Sleeping seems to be getting better, I think we might actually be over the hard part, I don't want to elaborate too much because I don't want to jinx anything =)
We love him so much, he brings such joy to our lives.

bedtime stories

I've been reading a story to Darren every night as part of his bedtime routine since he was just a couple weeks old. Just recently he has been very attentive during the stories and looking at the pictures. Last night he started reaching for the book and playing with the pages and of course the pages went right for his mouth. After I took it out of his mouth he helped turned the pages and cried when the story was done, we wound up reading the story four times last night!
