Portuguese Festa
This weekend was the Portuguese Festa in Fort Bragg, Darren's first one! For those of you who don't know, my dads family is Portuguese and most live in Fort Bragg, Ca (about four hours up the coast in Mendocino county). We don't get up that way very often but make sure we always make it to the Festa, a celebration of the Holy Ghost.
The Festa is a three day long celebration ending with Portuguese sopas (a beef cabbage sweet bread delicious meal) and a parade with all of the princesses and queens of the festival.
We always have so much fun visiting with my grandparents and uncles when we're there and it was so nice for them to get to see how much Darren has changed. My grandparents have a huge property with fields for Dare to run in and a garden full of goodies that he has to look forward too. I only wish we lived closer.

Carrasco Family Reunion
This morning we went to The Carrasco family reunion. It's always nice to get together with family and for everyone to see how big Darren is getting. The reunion was at a really cool park in Cupertino, in a few years Darren will have tons of fun playing there. Cool fact; this is the 52nd year that they've been having The Carrasco family reunions!

Please help my cousin Matt raise money to shave his head and help fight cancer. He is a fire fighter in Santa Monica California and has joined a team with the rest of his station. You can donate online by clicking on the following link.

It's that time of year again! The eighth annual St. Baldrick's Day events are Shaving the Way to Conquer Kids' Cancer as thousands of brave volunteers shave their heads in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during cancer treatment.
Worldwide, more than 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. While advances have saved many children, childhood cancer still claims the lives of more children in the US than any other disease - more than diabetes, asthma, congenital anomalies, cystic fibrosis and AIDS - combined!
Be brave and go bald, or support a brave shavee, team or St. Baldrick's location near you. Visit http://www.StBaldricks.org, or call 888-899-BALD to make a donation or register!
Funds raised by the St. Baldrick's Foundation will be used to fund childhood cancer research - to help speed the day when every child with cancer will be guaranteed a healthy future.
On behalf of all children with cancer, thank you for your support of the St. Baldrick's Foundation.

7 months old!
Darren in 7 months old today! He is doing great, rolling all over the place. He has adjusted very well to foods and is now on three meals a day. He definitely has his favorites foods (carrots) but does well with whatever you give him. We have also finally developed a good sleeping routine and most nights is only up once for a couple minutes before putting himself right back to sleep. He is such a good baby, I just adore him!
He looks way too grown up in this picture!!!

We spent our Labor Day at McCovey Cove watching the Giants kill the San Diego Padres 4 to 9. We couldn't have asked for better weather at the ballpark and of course our little guy was an angel.
As we were leaving the ballpark, we walked along China Basin where fans were able at one point to purchase personalized Giants tiles. We showed Darren the tile that was dedicated to his Great Grandpa Louis Ney whom he gets his middle name from. Definitely a special moment for Tim and Darren to share.
